It was a hot, sunny day. Johny was thirsty. He went inside the house to drink water but all their drinking water was over. He asked his mother for some water, but she said,“Dear son, our lake has turned red and none of the villagers go near the lake. We have to get water from a village that’s very far away. I am feeling sick today. Could you fetch some water for both of us?”
Johny agreed to do so and he stepped outside the house to bring some water. He went inside a dense forest. He walked a lot and his thirst only increased. When he was walking near the red lake, he couldn’t control his thirst. So, he drank some of the water from that lake.He said,”Wow! How sweet is this water! He drank until he was satisfied.
Soon after,he fell into a deep sleep. In his dream,Johny saw a monster with blood all over his body. The monster’s necklace and bracelet were made out of bones and flesh. The monster said, “You are a plump, little boy. You are going to be my dinner. HA HA HA!”
The monster asked his servants Dholu and Mohan to catch Johny. The little boy ran as fast as lightning, but Dholu caught Johny. Johny was about to get punched by the strong and mighty Mohan, when suddenly, he woke up from his dream. Johny was scared.he thought about never returning to this lake.
As he got up to run,he lost his balance and fell into the lake. Because he was scared,he tried swimming back, but something was stuck around his legs. He thought it was the monster he saw in his dream, pulling him back into the lake. He couldn’t escape. The harder he tried, the more tangled he got.
He got tired soon. He remembered his mother’s words - stay calm in tricky situations and think!
He went underwater and checked his leg. It was just a red -colored weed. He got rid of the weed and understood that this was what was making the lake red and its sap was making people dream.
He cleaned all the weeds from the lake and the water became blue again. The whole village thanked him for his bravery and cleverness.
