Hermione’s Adventure

Hermione was curious young Emirati girl who loved exploring the world around her. She lived in Abu Dhabi with her family, but her adventurous spirit often took her to new places. One day she heard about a mysterious island off the coast of Abu Dhabi that nobody had ever explored before. Intrigued, Hermione decided to embark on a journey to uncover the secrets of the island.

As she set sail, Hermione felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. She packed her backpack with all the essentials she would need. When she reached the island, she was amazed by its beauty. The sand was white and the water was crystal clear. As Hermione explored the island she noticed that there were strange markings on the rocks and the trees. She followed the markings until she came across a cave. Inside the cave, she found a chest. Hermione opened it and was surprised to see a golden key. Hermione tried the key in the lock of a nearby door. It opened and she was surprised to find herself in a room full of treasure. But as soon as she touched it ,she heard a voice saying, “You have passed the test. You have proven yourself worthy of the treasure.”

Hermione realized that the island was a test of her character and that the treasure was not the real prize. The real prize was her discovery of the importance of honesty, integrity and perseverance. She returned home with a newfound appreciation for the values and culture of the UAE.

In conclusion Hermione’s adventure on the mysterious island not only brought her treasures but also taught her valuable lessons about Emirati culture and values. The unexpected twist at the end of the story is the importance of integrity and perseverance, values that are deeply ingrained in Emirati culture.

HAPPY GREEN KINGDOM

 HAPPY GREEN KINGDOM

One day, King Jake and Queen Ava were taking a tour of their kingdom. They saw many impoverished people begging for food and water. Jake said, "Look at these people, Ava. We should do something for our kingdom."

The royal couple decided to build a water connection system to benefit the people of the kingdom. They ordered their top-class builders and connected a stream to different parts of the kingdom. They constructed 2 paths leading to 8 different parts of the kingdom. To distribute the water equally, 2/8 of the water was allocated for maintaining the overall supply for household use. Another 2/8 of the water was dedicated for landscaping and maintaining the parks. With its 2/8 share of water, the Hydroponics system was used for efficient, water-saving farming, reducing the strain on traditional agricultural practices and promoting sustainable food production. Finally, the remaining 2/8 of the water was used in industries and other purposes.

The people of the green kingdom thought this was a fantastic idea. They liked helping the environment using fractions because of all this, the kingdom became rich, and no one had to worry about food and water anymore. King Jake and Queen Ava cared a lot about their people and the environment

Every year, they celebrate "The Green Fraction Day." They plant trees and enjoy the clean air from the sun and wind energy. Kings from the other kingdoms saw what King Jake and Queen Ava were doing and decided to use fractions to protect their environments too. Their kingdom became famous for its wise use of fractions to make a proper use of water. Everybody lived happily, knowing that fractions, even when a little more complex, could make the world a better place for all to enjoy.

Helping Hands

Once there lived two friends Sonu and Monu. They were very poor.
They used to beg for alms. Sonu was blind and Monu was lame.
He could not walk without help. One day, Sonu heard a large religious fair was
being held in the neighboring village. He said to Monu , “Friend, we must go to the fair.
Many rich and saintly people will come there. We’ll get a lot of alms”.

“But Sonu, how can we go so far away? You are blind so you can’t see the way and
I am lame so I can’t walk for a long distance.”
Sonu smiled and said, “Don’t be disheartened Monu, I have found a way out.
I am blind but I can walk a great distance. You cannot walk as you are lame but you can
show me the way to the fair. You can sit on my shoulders, guide the way while I will be your
legs and carry you to the fair. So off the two friends went to the fair and enjoyed themselves.

Moral- Help others to help yourself.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™Short Story by Zirwa Naoum of Grade 3C๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

 Ruby’s Worry

Ruby was a little girl who was very joyful and playful. She loved to sing, explore faraway places and even went all the way to the bottom of the garden. She was a very happy girl.

One day she found something, a WORRY! At first, it wasn’t a big worry. It was a tiny one, so much so, that Ruby hardly noticed it. But as the days passed, the worry started growing. Each day, the worry became bigger and bigger. It was there everywhere, it followed her wherever she went. It was there at the breakfast table when Ruby was having her favorite cereals. It was there in the washroom when Ruby was brushing her teeth. The strangest thing was that no one else was able to see this WORRY, not even her teacher. So Ruby pretended to not see it too. She tried to go on as if everything was normal, but sadly, the worry would not leave her. Ruby wondered if this worry would ever leave her. Little did Ruby realize that she was doing the worst thing with a worry, she was worrying about it! The worry tagged along wherever she went, in her school bus, the cinema, etc. The worry became the only thing that Ruby would think about.

One day Ruby happened to notice a boy sitting alone in the park. He looked just how Ruby felt, sad. And then she noticed something else next to the boy, a WORRY. Ruby realized that she wasn’t the only person with it, other people had it too. When she went to the boy and started talking to him, the strangest thing happened. The boy’s worry began to shrink. Then Ruby also started to share her thoughts and as the words came out, Ruby’s worry began to shrink until it was all gone. Finally Ruby felt like her old self, full of joy and happiness.

What Ruby finally understood is, worry happens to everybody from time to time. It is about sharing the worries to somebody, no matter how big or small they may be.
