                                                                                 Tom’s Big Eyes

Once upon a time there was an owl named Tom . Tom wanted to stay up late but he never could. He kept falling asleep . Two days before New Year's eve he asked his teacher for advice. His teacher told him to try coffee, he tried drinking coffee but kept falling asleep . He asked his principal to advise. His principal  said to try exercising . It worked for a while but he still kept falling asleep. He  went crying to his mother. His mother joked about putting sticks in his eyes . So on New Year's eve to watch the fireworks he tried putting sticks in his eyes and it worked .  After seeing the fireworks he tried removing the sticks but he could not, so he asked his mother for help . When his mother removed the  sticks  she saw he had big eyes. When he went to school all  his classmates thought it was cool so they also tried it and that is how the owl got its big eyes.

      Emma and the Plastic Mystery

In the heart of a lush, green jungle where countless animals lived in harmony, there was a cheerful deer named Emma. Emma was known by all for her kindness, helpful nature, and playful spirit. One sunny afternoon, Emma was playing with her two best friends—Lilly the clever fox and Zoey the energetic zebra. They were playing hide-and-seek near the riverbank when Emma stumbled upon something odd.

It was shiny, crinkly, and looked completely out of place in the jungle. She held it up, puzzled. “What could this be?” she wondered aloud.

Lilly and Zoey ran over to see what she had found. They poked at it, sniffed it, and turned it over a few times. “No idea,” said Lilly, scratching her head. “It looks like some human stuff,” added Zoey.

Not knowing what it was, the trio decided to ask the wisest animal in the jungle—Leo the lion, the king of the jungle. Leo was not only strong and brave but also known for his great knowledge about the world. They carefully carried the strange item to Leo’s den. “Good afternoon, King Leo!” They greeted each other in unison.

Leo looked up with a warm smile. “Hello, my young friends. What brings you here?” Emma placed the object in front of him. “We found this near the river. What is it?” Leo examined it closely. “Ah, this is a plastic bag,” he said with a serious tone. “A plastic bag?” repeated Lilly and Zoey, puzzled. “Yes,” Leo replied. “Plastic is something humans made. It doesn’t belong to nature. It pollutes the Earth and harms both animals and the environment.”

The three friends were shocked. “We had no idea !” exclaimed Emma.

“Since you three care so much about the environment, would you help me? I have a special task for you” he said. “I want you to find the humans who are littering and give them this important message: ‘Dear humans, please save our planet Earth and stop harming our environment by using plastic materials.’ Spread this message to everyone you know, said the lion.

The three friends set off on their mission. It was tough—hours of searching with no sign of humans. Just as they were about to take a break, they heard a strange crunching noise.

“What’s that sound?” asked Zoey.“It’s coming from behind the bushes,” said Lilly. They tiptoed over and peeked through the leaves. There, having a picnic were three campers, with plastic wrappers scattered around them. Emma stepped forward bravely and delivered Leo’s message.

The campers looked surprised—and ashamed. “We didn’t realize we were causing harm,” one of them said. “We promise to clean up and never litter again.” As the sun began to set, the three friends returned to Leo and told him everything. Leo was proud. “You’ve done a wonderful job. Now let’s keep spreading this message far and wide.”And so, the animals of the jungle became Earth’s little heroes, working together to protect the planet one step at a time.

                                            My Wonderful School’s Sports Day

I wake up in the morning

With a smiling face,

Because I know today

I might win a race!

For breakfast I eat

Chapati with eggs,

Because I have a feeling

They will help my legs.

All the way back home

I have a smiling face,

Because I know now

That I won the race!

When I get home

I eat a great meal,

And since I have a gold medal

I’m in great zeal.

A World of Gratitude

I thank you, and you thank me,
Together we’re a family.
When I fall, you lift me high,
With helping hands, we reach the sky.

We show our gratitude each day,
In kind words and the things we say.
We thank each other, heart to heart,
Because we care and do our part.

We are all kind and generous,
Living on the planet of helping hands.
We are proud of our kind friends,
Together in a generous galaxy.

Earth Day

Earth day is celebrated every April 22 in Mayoor School to show support for protecting the environment and raising awareness
about the problems our planet is facing like pollution, deforestation and extinction of species.

Earth Day began in 1970 in the USA.It was started by Senator Gaylord Nelson who wanted to do something after seeing how
polluted the air and water had become. He hoped that if people came together on one day to speak up for the environment it
would make people aware, and it worked! The first Earth Day was a mission success; over 20 million people participated across the country of USA . It helped lead the creation of important environmental laws.

How in Mayoor do we stop polluting the Earth ?

We practice to

1. Reduce, Reuse ,and Recycle
2. Use less plastic
3. Plant trees

Every small action counts, and when enough people care, real change happens.
The main SDG goals we need to focus on for our Mother Earth are:
1. Climate Change
2. Life on Land
3. Life below water
4. Clean Water and Sanitation
5. Zero Hunger

The Earth is a home for everyone so let us save it!

Poem: Inside My School Bag

In the outside my bag looks clean and nice,

But inside there are pencils and markers everywhere, even mice!

It's like a little city where towers are books,

And ink and eraser dust is all they eat and cook,

All my pencils are like tiny people down there,

And they see my hand like its a warning or a jumpscare,

They see my pouch as their little home,

And they use my erasers as garden gnomes,

I don't really care in any way,

But still they have rent to pay,

Poem: Summertime

It was a sunny afternoon,

The sand was blowing in my eyes.

My parents would arrive pretty soon,

My brother was eating french fries.

I was making a sandcastle,

Without any hassle.

Something  swooped across the sea with might,

And I jumped up with fright!

I ran into the water,

Ignoring the boat motor.

There was a seagull,

Sitting with an eagle.

I fell out of bed,

A big lump on my head!

I realized that I was dreaming,

Uh oh,my mother was fuming!
